We are also interested in novel cyclodextrin hosts with increased inclusion capability. Our group is the first to report the synthesis of a new class of nanotubes based on b-CD. These novel hosts are formed with two CDs linked together via 7 disulfide linkages.[6] We are currently exploring their utilities in molecular recognitions.
